To pay it forward simply means to repay a kindness received with a good deed to someone else.

A must watch movie is 2000 film “Pay It Forward”—in which a young elementary 7th grader performs good deeds for strangers and encourages them to “pay it forward,” setting in motion a virtuous cycle of good deeds that can eventually change the world for the better.

The idea is that one person did something good for three other people. Then each of those three different people would do something good for three more people, and so on.

‘Pay it forward’ is an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed repaying the kindness to others instead of to the original benefactor.

The concept is old, but the particular phrase may have been coined by Lily Hardy Hammond in her 1916 book ‘In the Garden of Delight.’

In recent times, It all started when one woman chose to pay for her own coffee and the order of the driver behind her which led the customer behind her to do the same. This cycle continued for 378 customers that day.

The simplest way to define “pay it forward” is that when someone does something for you, instead of paying that person back directly, you pass it on to another person instead.

The pay-it-forward concept tells us that we can make a difference in the lives of others and it glorifies random acts of kindness.

It tells us, that when someone is kind to us, it’s a good idea to repay mankind several times over by doing good things for others.

It doesn’t have to be something big, even small acts like For example, holding the door/elevator for others, create a fundraiser, donate unused extras, run for a cause; do the dishes and make the bed, treat someone while you treat yourself, volunteer for a cause, pick up trash, A simple smile to a stranger or just give a compliment.

There is actually a pay it forward movement in the United States devoted to completing acts of kindness for other people.

There is now a website, ‘The Pay It Forward Effect’ that encourages people to commit kind acts on other people. The campaign began in the spring of 2018. The idea is based on the idea that there is too much negativity in our world. Most people would probably agree that a little more kindness and good news would make our lives better.

This weekend, Let’s do random acts of kindness and start a ‘Pay it forward’ movement and try to make the world a better place & stay blessed forever.
