“Satgur Nanak Pargateya, Mitti Dhund Jag Chanan Hoyeya”
(With the emergence of the Holy Guruji, Guru Nanak, the mist cleared and the whole world was illuminated.
It was as if the Sun had risen and the darkness was dispelled.)
These words of Bhai Gurdas ji in praise of one of the greatest visionaries who walked on this earth are true to the core.
Guru Nanak gave a beautiful recipe to make this world a better place to live in.
“Kirat karo,
“Work hard to earn your living and make this earth a beautiful and progressive place;
Naam Japo,
Remember Almighty and feel His presence in one and all;
Vand Chako”
Do not alone enjoy your fruits of labour but distribute among your needy brethren and sisters”
With this recipe Guru laid the foundation of a progressive, God loving, diverse, self respecting, fearless and a compassionate society at a time when Indian society was struggling with autocracy by greedy rulers.
Wishing you all on the Prakash Utsav of the Great Guru and wishing that all of us adopt the teachings of Guru Nanak Ji and may this Holy occasion enlighten us and guide us on our path towards knowledge and remove the darkness.
