In the Mahabharata,
when Dharamraj,
Yudhishtira was asked,
“Who is a true Brahmin”, Yudhisthira answered
“The one who always harbours goodwill and good wishes for all beings in the Universe is a true Brahmin-
one who has acquired brahminhood not by birth alone but through his noble actions. He who has gained Supreme Self-knowledge is a Brahmin.
A true Brahmin Is one who believes in God and possesses these eight virtues : Serenity, peacefulness, self restraint, simplicity, austerity, purity, forgiveness and specialised knowledge.”
Let us harbour goodwill towards all, friend or foe, known or unknown, aim to be a true brahmin this festive season & stay blessed forever.
