The Power of Prayer

Don’t use your energy to worry, use your energy to believe, to have faith, that whatever will happen, will be for everyone’s good.

As it is said in the Gurbani,

“Dukh Vele ardas,
Sukh Vele shukrana,
Har Vele simran.”

_During times of hardship, practice prayer,
During times of happiness, practice gratitude,
During all times, remember God._

Pray hardest when it is hardest to pray.
Things always work out, never underestimate the power of prayer, faith and love.
All I know is that when I pray, good coincidences happen and when I don’t pray, they don’t happen.

I am reminded here, of this Sant Kabir Doha:

दुःख में सुमिरन सब करे सुख में करै न कोय।
जो सुख मेंसुमिरन करे, दुःख काहे को होय ॥

During tough times, everyone remembers God,
but forgets him during good times.
If you remember him during good times as well,
you will never see bad times.

So pray when it’s all good and pray when you want all good to happen.
I believe in the power of prayer because I have
no doubt that God has answered all my prayers, because he has blessed me with much more than I possibly deserve – a
wonderful family, a great set of friends, a good education,
recognition, the ability to overcome challenges, good health and much more.

Pray, not only because you need something but because you still have a lot to thank God for and stay blessed forever.
