*Mohinder Singh Dhoni* during his induction speech to 2015 batch of MRF pace academy.

“As a young kid, whenever I felt down or sad… I went to a Rock Mine some distance away from my house .

There I remember watching the workers chipping the rock.

The worker would strike the rock for 100s of times, without a sign of the rock cracking. They would carry on chipping regardless of the sweat on their brow.

But then, on that hundredth and first strike, the rock would crack open into 2.

It would seem as if it was only that final strike that cracked open the Rock.

But I always knew it was the effect of all the effort and the patience that the worker went through during the first fruitless 100 strikes.

That’s I guess how I learnt to be patient and the power of persistence.”

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.

Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent.

Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.

Education will not; the world is full of educated failures.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

Big lesson I’ve learned as an entrepreneur and as a human being: When we most feel like giving up is the moment we must keep persisting.

“He conquers who endures.”

Believe you can and you’re halfway there!

This too shall pass.

Persist in your efforts and

Stay blessed forever.
