In The Beginning

In the beginning of David Foster Wallace’s “This is Water”, there are these two young fish swimming along and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says “Morning, boys. How’s the water?”

And

the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and says, “What the hell is water?”

When you grow up with certain advantages, their presence can be hard to notice.

We are all blessed with our own unique advantages,

God has given so much and we just take it for granted without realising its value.

The love of family and friends, good air to breathe, a house to live, a work place to go to, free speach, freedom to do what we want to, and many more such things which we just take for granted.

Ask yourself often, are you taking your advantages for granted?

Be grateful for your blessings and stay blessed forever.
