Fear

To move to a zone of growth we have to leave the familiar and the old patterns of decoding life.

This often means facing fears as the new is always risky and creates self doubt and a discomfort of adjustments.

This requires Learning new skills or patterns of behaviour.

We need to be open and willing to change, even fail at learning.

Through a series of repeated practice we can attempt to grow and make the new pattern an integrated part of ourselves.

The resistance to a growth mindset is often embedded in a lack of willingness to be open to life and living.

Old patterns and conditioning make us victims of repeated habits that reinforce what we are comfortable and willing to see as a green or red flag.

It is like the river in the poem, ‘Fear’ by Kahlil Gibran, which is afraid & ‘trembles with fear, before entering the sea.’

But, ‘The river cannot go back, nobody can go back.

The river needs to take the risk of entering the ocean because only then will fear disappear because that’s where the river will know it’s not about disappearing into the ocean but of becoming the ocean.’

I remember reading, that the space shuttle uses more fuel during the first three minutes after takeoff than during the entire voyage around the earth.

The first step towards change & your dream is always the hardest, but once you take it, it will only get easier.

Beginning is half the battle, but once you start, doors you didn’t know existed begin to open for you.

Hence, look at the bigger picture, don’t be afraid, take the risk & stay blessed forever.
