It’s the Union Budget day!
Budget is like life.
It is all about balancing;
Balancing priorities,
Balancing what you have & what you need,
Deciding where to generate resources &
Allocating resources to your goal and like life,
planning for uncertainties.
Like our family budget, The government also has a tough job. They have to decide the priorities, support the economic growth, fulfill promises, take care of the underprivileged, fulfill the aspirations of people, balance the income with expenses, decide where to raise resources from, ensure it does not take on too much debt which may become unsustainable in the future; It’s surely an unenviable task.
Hopefully this year’s budget will make everyone happy and help put India on a path of prosperity.
But, whenever I think of budgets, I am always reminded of this wonderful quote by Warren Buffet,
“Investing in yourself is the best thing you can do.
Anything that improves your own talents;
nobody can tax it or take it away from you.
They can run up huge deficits and the Dollar can become worth far less.
You can have all kinds of things happen,
But if you’ve got talent yourself, and you’ve maximized your talent, you’ve got a tremendous asset that can return ten-fold”
Make your own budget, decide on your priorities for the year,
Decide to Invest in yourself,
allocate resources,
plan the income and expenditure,
balance it & stay blessed forever.
