*A Different Perspective*
Mark Manson is a star Blogger with more than two million readers. For the past few years, Mark via his widely popular blog has been working on correcting our delusional expectations for ourselves and for the World.
He has brought his hard fought wisdom in his book,
*The subtle art of not giving a FU^K*
Manson makes the argument that human beings are flawed and limited.
He writes, “not everybody can be extraordinary- there will always be winners and losers in society and some of it is not fair or your fault.”
He advises us to get to know our limitations and accept them; this he says is the real source of empowerment.
Once we embrace our fears, faults and uncertainties and stop running from and avoiding and start confronting painful truths, we can begin to find the courage and confidence we desperately seek.
His manifesto is to for all of us to live a more contented and grounded lives.
So much for inspiration and pushing yourself.
Can contentment really come from not living upto your potential?
You can never be happy with that, you can’t be really happy by not following your potential.
Contentment for me is being happy with what I have,
to desire less and not to achieve less,
Contentment can’t come from not trying and not putting in the effort.
Contentment for me is spending less and not earning less.
A subtle difference but a difference nonetheless.
Thus too shall pass,
Choose your perspective and stay blessed forever.
