“Joy is sometimes a blessing, but it is often a conquest.
We all suffer, we all have difficult times, and we will experience many disappointments — but all of this is transitory, it leaves no permanent mark.
And one day we will look back with pride and faith at the journey we have taken.”
Most parents experience the joy of watching their children turn over, then crawl, then stand up, and then take those first steps.
With outstretched arms, they stand two or three steps away and encourage the little one to come to them.
Chances are about three trillion to one that when the baby falls down the parent is not going to say, “Okay, you had your chance—you blew it! So don’t you ever try to walk again!”
That’s absurd, but isn’t it equally absurd to think we can accomplish major things in our lives without experiencing reversals of some kind?
Yes, we are disappointed, some cried over yesterday’s loss, some were in anguish, and most were critical but let’s not blame the men in the Arena, they have cried more, and they are more in anguish.
We shall move on to our next event and moment of joy but this will haunt them for the rest of their life.
Congratulations Australia for a well-deserved win and we are proud of you Team India. You brought
us tremendous joy in the last 45 days.
“Let others cheer the winning man,
There’s one I hold worthwhile;
‘Tis he who does the best he can,
Then loses with a smile.
Beaten he is, but not to stay
Down with the rank and file;
That man will win some other day,
Who loses with a smile.”
We are sure you will achieve many milestones ahead.
Stay blessed forever.
