The Iceberg theory of Success

The world watched and India cheered when Jemimah Rodrigues played the classy knock & helped India chase 339 and enter the Women’s World Cup Finals.

I was intrigued by her comments, she thanked God, her family etc etc and then went onto say that she, was dropped last year, cried almost every day of the tournament, the anxiety she went through but still she knew that she had to show up & make her best effort when given the opportunity.

We only see the tip.of the Iceberg, the winning performance but not the persistent hard work, the hours put into practise, the anxieties at each level, the sacrifices made, the failures along the way, the contribution of the family, coach, team mates and much more.

This brings me to The “Iceberg Theory of Success” which helps us to realize that every famous or extraordinary successful person had to invest a lot of effort and work until this person achieved his/her goals.

With that said, the next time you see a famous person or any other successful person you should try to direct your focus to the efforts that this person had to make in order to achieve his/her accomplishments.

If you are willing to take risks, focus, create goals, be persistent, fail and get yourself back up, take massive action, sacrifice every day, build good habits and most of all – work hard only then will you will be successful!

Success is not a one day effort but a lifetime of hard work.
We only know & applaud the triumph but it takes much more.

Cheers to Jemimah and to Team India.
Best wishes for the World Cup Finals. We know you will win it for a billion people.
Stay blessed forever.
