What according to you is the greatest habit that you could have?

You could say…

…rising at 5AM to build a stronger you.

…pushing magic into your market via exceptional work.

…treating people with respect and love.

…working out regularly and vigorously.

…eating clean and hydrating.

…getting 20 minutes of daily sunshine.

…walking in the woods on weekends.

…using words that push your performance.

…writing in a journal every morning.

…keeping the company of exceptionalists.

…turning tiny troubles into micro wins.

…getting great rest and deep recovery.

…being kind to everyone you meet & each life you touch.

…being a giver.

Yet, maybe just maybe, but according to me, the finest of all of the habits of a top human is Reading.

When I enter the homes of most of the ‘Successful achievers’ my eyes always note that though they might have big TVs in their abodes they inevitably have massive libraries. Books upon books upon books.

Buffett keeps his calendar clear each day so he can read most of the day.

Thomas Edison said: “When I want to discover something I begin by reading.”

Nicola Tesla observed: “Of all things, I like books best.”

American statesman Barack Obama noted: “Reading is the gateway skill that makes all other learning possible.”

Legendary author Stephen King mused: “Books are a uniquely portable magic.”

Poet Emily Dickinson stated: “There is no frigate like a book to take us lands away.”

Someone once asked Zig Zagler’s son, to pick the one thing that, more than anything else, made his Dad who he was and made him more successful in every area of life and he replied, “Every day, for more than five decades, he started the day by reading and learning something new, which he internalized and simplified so that he could share it with someone else for their benefit. This simple idea and action made Zig Ziglar who he was.”

For all of my adult life, I have been blessed by books. I buy more books than I can ever possibly read, but they act as a constant reminder that I have so much more to learn.

Reading & sharing the learning is my way of giving back to the world.

I am grateful to God to have given me the patience & persistence to do it daily.

Adopt the greatest life habit of reading & stay blessed forever.
