The 2% mindset is a great visual of some of the things you should consider developing. As the title describes there is only a very small percentage of the population who think this way, and this funnily enough correlates with the percentage of people who are really successful and happy.
The decisions you make in your life, shape the life you live.
When I first came across the image representing “The 2% Mindset,” it got me thinking.
The ability to relate the steps you have taken in your life to the attributes that make up the 2% mindset can help you realize what you have achieved or not achieved and who you have become.
Only 2% of the population go for their dreams with confidence and excitement. Only 2% of the population choose happiness and fulfillment.
Only 2% of the population get the most out of life by exploring new things and embracing the unknown. Only 2% of the population live life without limits and act in spite of fear.
And the remaining 98% of the population?
They remain in their comfort zone and are content with just getting by. 98% of the population live their lives playing it safe, doing the right things and save themselves for some future event that never happens.
98% of the population enjoy being like everyone else and simply let life push them into submission because they have no guts.
Deep down inside they are terrified of taking risks and end up settling for less. They really want to win, but the fear of losing is greater than the excitement of winning.
98% of the population will look back one day and know that deep down inside they didn’t go for it.
Oscar Wilde said it beautifully: “To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.”
‘Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.’
To paraphrase the words of Mark Twain, only 2% of the population throw off their bowlines and sail away from the safe harbor.
If you really think about it, we are all capable of getting into that 2 percent if we have the courage to let our life play out the way it should, the way you want it.
Embrace the good, embrace the bad, embrace change, embrace failure and most importantly, embrace life and move forward.
Have faith that everything happens for a reason and that it will always work out as long as you work hard, have fun, love your family and go after what you believe in.
Don’t stop dreaming.
Wake up and turn those dreams into reality!
Be a part of the 2% and stay blessed forever.
