Stop chasing..

We live in a culture that glorifies the chase.

Chase the promotion,
Chase the perfect relationship,
Chase the next milestone,
The bigger house, The better version of yourself, etc etc.

We’re constantly moving, constantly reaching,
constantly convinced that happiness waits just one more achievement away.

I am reminded here of a story,

There was once a farmer who had a dog. The dog was always chasing cars that would roar past the farm.
As soon as one came, he would run, barking and trying to overtake it.
One day a neighbor asked “Do you think your dog is ever going to catch a car?”

The farmer replied,”That is not what bothers me. What bothers me is what he would do if he ever caught one.”

Many people behave like that dog who is pursuing meaningless goals.

Life is simple indeed…We make it complex by running after what will never give us joy.

I’ve watched countless people exhaust themselves chasing mirages, chasing wealth, chasing meaningless success.

As an old saying goes, “The real measure of your success is how much you’d be worth if you lost all your money.”

Slow down! There’s more to life than running non stop.

Sounds wonderful, does’nt it.
I wish I too could stop going after meaningless goals and slow down and enjoy for myself and not be running after the mirage society calls success.

Over the years, I’ve realised that genuine contentment comes from learning to stop chasing—from stopping the endless pursuit of things that promise fulfillment but leave us feeling emptier than before.

When you stop running after things that don’t truly serve you, you create space for what does.

You make room for genuine connection, authentic joy, and the kind of deep satisfaction that doesn’t depend on external circumstances.

Stop the chase after meaningless goals and stay blessed forever.
