A sliding door moment” refers to a seemingly minor event or decision that significantly alters the course of one’s life, much like the plot of the movie “Sliding Doors,” a 1998 Gwyneth Paltrow film, in which a woman lives two alternative lives after missing a train.

“Sliding door” moments are the seemingly inconsequential everyday incidents or decisions that affect relationships or our lives negatively or positively.

It highlights how small choices can lead to drastically different outcomes, emphasizing the impact of seemingly insignificant actions on the trajectory of future events.

Have you ever found yourself contemplating the “what ifs” of life, wondering how different choices, actions, or circumstances might have led you down a different path?
It seems that we tend to do this for things that didn’t work out the way we wanted. For example, “If only I had gotten into that top university,” “If only I had gotten that job,” “If only we had tried harder in our relationship.”

What if we play the “what if” game with a completely different approach? Instead of thinking about how our life could be better, let’s think about something truly wonderful in our life and use that as a starting point!

Just think of a sliding door moment in your life, Perhaps one where you met someone who soon changed your life for the better?

How attending one event allowed you to connect deeply with other like minded people.

One where you applied for a job and they decided to not hire you or you didn’tstart a business you were very keen on…only to have another opportunity show up that was even more aligned with who you are, and what you were trying to achieve?

I strongly have the belief that the sliding door that closes just makes room for other adventures.
I don’t believe in coincidences anymore, I believe that sliding doors are meant to close so another can open–one that is more aligned with who and where I am now, and those I am truly meant to serve.

What sliding door in your life has closed recently, only to open you up to more alignment?

Trust the process, look at the positives & stay blessed forever.
