While going through my past blogs, I came across this blog I posted exactly five years ago on this day.
And the only feeling I had was of gratitude.
The despondency of those days came through and reminded me of all that we went through in those trying times.
The things we prayed for then, are the things we don’t think about now, and are not grateful for the same.
Sharing the same post.
“One Day….
One day on the news channels we will see ‘No cases of covid reported from across the world’.
One day we will read the headlines ‘No covid deaths reported today’.
One day we will meet family and friends and freely hug each other.
One day, we will all dance at the weddings, be merry and celebrate together.
One day, we will visit people when they are sick, share their grief on a tragedy and show them we care.
One day we will see off our kids to school / college..
One day we will see the board of ‘HouseFull’ at the cinema hall.
One day we will see ourselves flocking with long queues at the airports and railway stations.
One day, we will take a vacation together and create memories.
One day, we will throng the malls and come back with our shopping bags full.
One day we will all flock to the restaurants and Clubs and be merry.
As we await that ONE DAY, let’s remind ourselves that it is not too far away.
We are facing one of the toughest times in human history ever, but this too shall pass, its just a phase.
Till then, Lets be positive, keep ourself motivated, back ourselves up and look forward to help others, share and care in whatever way we can.
Iam reminded of this wonderful quote by Fàiź Ahmèd Faiz:
दिल ना उमीद तो नहीं नाकाम ही तो है,
लंबी है ग़म की शाम मगर शाम ही तो है
Till then, please take care, stay safe,
Let’s fight the Covid together and stay blessed forever.”
Times change, things always get better, life keeps on throwing challenges,
Believe in humanity and its ability to overcome all challenges & stay blessed forever.
