Live life : The best is yet to come

Recently, I sat in my favorite chair and looked back. I realized I was entering the final leg of this beautiful journey.

Slowly, the illusions I had held onto for decades began to fade, replaced by quieter, sharper truths.

One of my hopes is to age into a better mindset.

The general trend seems to become less open minded, less resilient, less capable of handling change with ease and flexibility as the years roll by.

I hope to grow in the opposite direction. How can my mindset be better today than it was yesterday?

So, I carved out seven new rules to live life with dignity:

1. Financial Freedom is Dignity.
Love your children wildly, but do not make them your retirement plan. Your investments are your shield.

2. Health is Your Full-Time Job.
Move, stretch, and guard your sleep. Illness respects those who respect their own bodies.

3. Be the Architect of Your Joy.
Do not outsource your happiness. Find delight in a shared coffee, or a good book, some music or your savouring your favourite tipple. When you create your own peace, loneliness loses its sting.

4. Refuse Helplessness.
Complaining is a trap. Resilience is magnetic. People are drawn to those who stand tall, not those who surrender.

5. Release the Past.
Nostalgia is a beautiful place to visit, but you cannot live there. Clinging to yesterday robs you of today.

6. Guard Your Peace.
Not every argument needs your voice. Not every associate needs access to your soul. Peace is expensive; spend it wisely.

7. Never Stop Learning.
The moment you stop being curious is the moment you become old. Keep your mind moving.

Living life is an exam you must take alone. You can wait for a rescue that may never come, or you can stand up and be your own strength.

Iam grateful, fortunate and blessed because I have made it so far with lot of love, dignity and fond memories.

I look forward to Living life full of kindness, gratitude, forgiveness, learning, joy, adding value and being valued and contributing positively to making this world a better place in my own little ways.

My motto going ahead is to Live life to the fullest and stay blessed forever.
