One day, Thomas Edison came home and gave a paper to his mother. He told her, “My teacher gave me this paper and told me to give it only to you.”
Edison enquired from her,
“What is written on the Paper?”
His mother’s eyes were full of tears as she read the letter out loud to her beloved child, ” Your son is a genius. The school is too small for him& doesn’t have enough good teachers to train him. Please teach him yourself at home.”
Many many years after he became the greatest inventor of the century and Edison’s mother had died , he was looking through some old family papers and he saw a folded paper in the corner. He opened it and on it was written, ‘Your son is addled(Mentally ill), we can’t have him in the school anymore.’
Edison on reading that cried for hours and then he wrote in his diary, ‘ Thomas Alva Edison was an Addled child that, by a loving and hero mother, became the genius of the century.’
Mothers are beyond words. Let’s take out a moment today and say MAA TUJHE SHUKRIYA for everything you have done for us and making us what we are today.
All that we are, or ever hope to be, we owe it to our mothers.
They hold our hands for a while but our hearts forever.
The heart of a mother is what makes the world spin! Mothers do more than just give birth.
They bring joy and hope. They give compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Mothers have a lot to say and a lot to give.
May their love and blessings always remain.
Happy Mothers day!
Celebrate it everyday and
Stay blessed forever.
