It is believed three important events of Buddha’s life took place on this day: his birth, his attaining enlightenment, and his death, Paranirvana.
Buddha Purnima serves as a day for reflection on the core principles of Buddhism: peace, compassion & enlightenment.
In parts of Southeast Asia, the festival coincides with Vesak, a celebration that also marks the day of Buddha’s enlightenment & his passing into Nirvana.
This auspicious occasion offers a chance to spread the message of peace & harmony.
Buddha taught that life was filled with pain & suffering, which ultimately was a symptom of unfulfilled wants & desires.
As a result, the best way to end suffering was to put an end to desires & wants, which can be accomplished by following the eight steps of the Noble Eightfold Path.
May this Buddha Purnima bring peace to your heart, harmony to your home & true happiness to you & your family.
Follow the Noble Eightfold Path & Stay blessed forever.
