“If you’re not a little scared each day, you’re not making much progress.
Only he who never plays never loses.
If you are not in the process of becoming the person you want to be,
you are automatically engaged in becoming the person you don’t want to be.”
~ Anatoly Karpov, Russian chess Grandmaster.
There’s a story about a man riding a horse, galloping quickly. It appears that he’s going somewhere very important. A man standing along the roadside shouts, “Where are you going?” The rider replies, “I don’t know. Ask the horse!”
This is the story of most people’s lives; they’re riding the horse of their habits, with no idea where they’re headed. It’s time to take control of the reins, and move your life in the direction of where you really want to go.
Find Your North Star – The North Star is famous for holding still in the sky in the northern direction while the entire northern sky moves around it.
For centuries, it has been the guiding star for travellers & sailors to find the right direction.
To find one’s North Star is to set a concrete goal and vision for self.
Finding your North Star gives you a reference point to keep you moving in the right direction.
It’s a fixed destination that you can depend on as the world changes around you.
Is there something in your life that you really want to do, or a certain passion or dream you have, but aren’t doing because you’re scared?
What is it and what are you scared of?
What are you doing to overcome this scare?
The philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer once observed: “Most people take the limits of their vision to be the limits of the world. A few do not. Join them.”
The life you see this very moment isn’t necessarily the life of your future.
You might be viewing things through the eyes of your fears, limitations and false assumptions.
Once you clean up the stained-glass window you see the world through a whole new set of possibilities.
Find your purpose,
Find your North Star & stay blessed forever.
