Have you ever dreamt a great dream or had an inspiring idea, but then went back to your daily routine and lost sight of it? The next time inspiration knocks, invite it in.
Remember that fulfilling a dream and following an inspiration requires your investment in time.
As Abraham Maslow wrote:
“If you deliberately plan to be less than you are capable of being, then I warn you that you’ll be deeply unhappy for the rest of your life. You will be evading your own capacities, your own possibilities.
Never plan to be less than you’re capable of being.”
Choose the scary path.
Choose to stand tall. Choose to embrace the struggles that forge new strength.
Choose to trade the comfort of the present for the meaning of the future.
Choose to shine your light.
You’re meant for more. Start acting like it.
“He who sincerely seeks his real purpose in life, is himself sought by that purpose.
As he concentrates on that search, a light begins to clear his confusion,
call it revelation, call it inspiration, call it what you will.”
As Walt Disney said, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
If someone else is doing it, you can do it.
No matter the favourable circumstances or the head start they might have had, you can come up with the ideas to level the playing field.
The bigger your plan A, by default, the better your plan B, C and D.
As Les Brown said, “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss it you will land among the stars.”
It all depends on your thinking.
If you think you can, you will.
If you think you have reached your limits, you have.
Once you decide to achieve something, the whole world conspires to help you achieve it.
Erin Hanson said it beautifully, when asked, “What if I fail?”
And he replied,
“But oh my darling, what if you fly?”
Dreaming, planning and putting in the work turns long odds into short ones.
Make the audacious plans, ask the giant questions and consider that every possibility could very well happen.
My motto always has been
‘You have to think anyway, Why not think BIG!’
“There is less traffic on that street.”
