Fear of mistakes, or Atelophobia, is an intense, anxiety-driven, or perfectionist fear of failing or being imperfect.
Most of us are stuck in the area between the paralyzing side of the fear of making mistakes and gathering the courage to give it a shot.
I say, make those mistakes even with your hands trembling, voice shaking, and heart beating at astounding speeds.
Even if you don’t come victorious out of it, but you will come up as a better and evolved human being. Mistakes are, indeed, a great way to grow and flourish as an individual.
Mistakes come from doing, but so does success.
There are enough mistakes I have made over the years.
However, I’ve recently realized that this isn’t the right way to think about mistakes.
Because mistakes are not only the foolish things that we do, but also the reasonable things that we don’t do.
As the saying goes, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”
Anyone who has become great or successful, owe their success to their mistakes.
For instance, Michael Jordan, one of the best basketball players of all times said, “I’ve failed over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed.”
It’s time to change our perspective and celebrate our mistakes than running away from them.
This is why sins of omission can be just as damaging as making bad choices.
Most dreams die because we don’t want to get out of our comfort zone or are too afraid to try or fear failure and thus commit ourselves to average.
The world is full of talented people who couldn’t commit themselves to their dreams or didn’t try hard enough.
Beware the sin of omission and stay blessed forever.
