The big question about how people behave is whether they’ve got an
Inner Scorecard or an Outer Scorecard.
It helps if you can be satisfied with an ‘Inner Scorecard’.
I always pose it this way. “Look, would you rather have tons of money and live a simple life or have a big house and flashy cars all on
debt just to impress your associates?
In teaching kids, the lesson you learn at a very, very early
age is what we as parents put the emphasis on.
If all the emphasis is on what the world is going to think about you,
the LKK syndrome (log Kya Kahenge or keeping up with the Jains) forgetting about how you really behave, you’ll end up with an ‘Outer Scorecard’.
Socrates once said, “the secret of happiness, you see, is not found in seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy less”.
If we all live to this principle in our lives, I am sure that our
lives will be much happier, peaceful, rewarding and healthy.
Commit yourselves to simplicity in all aspects of your life and declutter things which weigh you down, physically, mentally,
emotionally and financially. Decide whether you want to
impress the world or be content.
Choice is yours.
Make the right choice and Stay blessed forever.
